The bees freeze, the Hudson disappears
The trees shade the leaves
Where does the strength slip to
When the tremor starts in sun?
The trees’ sleeves drape the leaves
Each tin lip a snapelike drip on the steves
The eaves darken the trees, the sneeze, the leaves’ bees
Leaving, the sneeze drapes the leaves with bees
Leaving, the bees flee
The bees flee, the Hudson freezes, the trees shade the street and weighted, collapse at the first sign of a snow-storm. The car tracks the street with trees. The shades of the trees on the leaves. The trace of the street on the tracks of the snow. The trace of the trees in the leavings of snow. The letter boxed need on the leftovers of snow.
The bees flee south from the southward note. Take flight, they say, stolen snow can’t feed the trees. No water stifles the leaves. The trees take sight from the sky, sneak slivers of light into their leaves. Photosynthesize this moment, it can’t last for time to member. Let’s sember. The lember.
