to that children thing in the abstract, to argue that "anything we truly love can be saved," as in, anything we truly love can be saved, as in, the title of the text it appears in. She is saying that this proves something that can be passed along to the next generation, that it gives some strength and wisdom to the children. And perhaps that that makes it ok? That lifetimes tell the stories and wisdom that people get?

But it seems like she's telling Rebecca that anything she truly loves, namely, Rebecca, can be saved, namely Rebecca, it's not so bad. Yikes. I am getting all personal about this; that's clearly about me. Still, here goes the publish post button.
