wonders and bombardments and suggestions

Audre: Once you live any piece of your vision it opens you to a constant onslaught. Of necessities, of horrors, but of wonders too, of possibilities.

Adrienne: I was going to say, tell it on the other side.

Audre: Of wonders, absolute wonders, possibilities, like meteor showers all the time, bombardment, constant connections. And then, trying to separate what is useful for survival from what is distorted, destructive to self.

Rae suggested tonight that I think of my dissertation as something I'm doing as an act of love for a friend--something I'm not writing for a PhD program, but something I want to write, and I'm choosing this style because my friend wishes it.

It's an interesting idea.
