turning to face the world

in a little bit of self-obsession after the NeMLA meeting today, i googled myself. you know, in case there was any incriminating evidence out there.

and i start to think maybe it's a bad idea to have such a public document of all my little failures and works in progress. but then i thought: why think so? there's no harm in having such a small item. people know it's in progress. this is minor.

but i put might just a wee bit more thought into what i post up here.

which is a drag, but then if i think about it--why a drag? i know this is public. but private. why do i want to be public about my private shit? why do i, in fact, need to display my vulnerabilities in order to feel like i'm working constructively?

perhaps this is part two of the "dissertation or therapy?" project, after all.
