ways to deal with writer's block, pt. 1

1. believe in the project you are writing
2. sunlight
3. candy, esp. sour patch kids
4. overeating in general
5. NOT smoking (smoking increases the distraction, thus the blockiness)
6. NOT caffeine/coffee-drinking, except first thing, to get moving
7. admit that you are blocked and decide not to care, because everyone gets blocked at some point or another, and who the hell are you?
8. admit the goodness of the slices you have written so far
9. admit that you know what you are truly trying to say, you just don't feel like writing it, probably for reasons you don't know yet, but they don't matter.
10. ignore the reasons you come up with not to write

to be continued
